Background
Mi Niño Jesus Bilingual School was founded by Mrs. Lizbeth Edilma Delgado Montenegro in 2008. Its first building, as nursery, was located in Capitan Street, Plaza Nov. 28 in La Chorrera District (2008-2009). That year, it was not a school, it was a nursery where cared children of different ages, then by the high demand for income of children around 4 and 5 years old, it was decided to have new buildings in La Chorrera District, Colon neighborhood, behind Tropigas Store in 2010; it began to be a school providing childcare, nursery and pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. The same year it had two teachers with 8 students per classroom, during that year new students were incorporated.
In 2011 student`s population grew with a maximum of 12 students per classroom, and it started to provide the service of a bilingual education; as English language has been growing in schools by the high demand of the labor sector and taking into account that children in early age learn fast.
Actually, it has 4 classrooms that are divided in nursery for children from months onwards, maternal for children of three years old, pre-kinder for children of four years old and kindergarten for children of five years old. Besides that, it has a computer lab where students learn to interact with programs. There are bathrooms: girl´s bathroom, boy´s bathroom and teacher’s bathroom, a dining room, and the principal’s office.
Mi Niño Jesus Bilingual School is in process of building new classrooms for elementary students because one of its objectives is to have continual education and incorporating technological advances that help students learn in a dynamic way.
